Validating Your Head Term

There are two primary concerns when validating your head term:

  • Search volume

  • Search intent

Search volume tells us if people are actually searching for the keywords we’ll target. pSEO is excellent for capturing traffic from many low-volume keywords, but low volume isn’t the same as no volume!

We can use tools like Google Keyword Planner and SEMRush to measure keyword volume.

Search intent tells us if people looking for our keywords are interested in our site or pSEO page: Is a click likely to result in a conversion, and will someone stick around on our site or immediately return to the search results to find another page that addresses their query?

Tools like SEMRush can help us identify intent, but we can also use common sense to determine it ourselves.
